Andrew Ascenzo's private teaching studio
Andrew is currently an active private teacher in both Toronto and the GTA. His personal studios are located in Maple and East York, where he teaches students of all ages and levels. 

Many of Andrew's private students have been accepted at top music faculties in Canada, including the University of Toronto, McGill University, and Wilfred Laurier University, as well as achieving successful results in exams at the Royal Conservatory of Music and first prize results in competitions such as the Canadian Music Competition and the  Kiwanis Festival of Music. Andrew has also had students from his studio accepted into international summer academies in Canada, the United States and Europe. 

With over 15 years of teaching experience, Andrew has taught cellists and musicians of all ages and all levels. His private studio was opened in the early 2000's and has maintained a steady stream of students throughout the years. As a doctoral student at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Music, Andrew acts as a teaching assistant to Professor Shauna Rolston and gives private lessons to both undergraduate and graduate cello students, hosts master-classes, leads string sectionals for the U of T Symphony Orchestra, conducts the U of T Cello Ensemble, and coaches several advanced chamber ensembles. Andrew has also taught theory and history in both individual and group scenarios.
